Emma Brown
Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging Consultancy

Emma has a track record of leading Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging culture change programmes, which improve diversity and grow inclusion across a broad range of industries including the Private Sector, Government and Charities.


She has particular expertise in working with senior leadership teams to establish the business case for Diversity and Inclusion, facilitating workshops and discussions on D&I, coaching senior leaders and developing strategy, as well as D&I policy and process.


Before joining MCR, Emma was Group Head of Organisational Development at Places for People, where she developed a data-based, relevant strategy for the 12,000 colleagues which resulted in measurable impact on inclusion and received a nomination for Best D&I initiative at the 2020 Investors in People Awards.


Emma also held the position of Deputy Director of Organisational Development and Inclusion at the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (then the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government) where she launched a department strategy and achieved the highest scores for Inclusion in the Civil Service People Survey 2018.


Prior to this role, Emma was Head of Organisational Development at the Zoological Society of London where she introduced Equality, Diversity and Inclusion training programmes and supported the Institute of Zoology to gain Athena SWAN accreditation, recognising gender equality in Science.


Emma is Chartered Fellow of the CIPD, a qualified coach since 2013 and is currently training to become a Person-Centred Counsellor.
